Angel Reese Had A Legendary Rookie Season
Angel Reese’s season is over due to an injury but her rookie season was fantastic.
Angel Reese has many flaws in her game.
She isn’t a consistent scorer and she isn’t a very skilled shooter either.
In the 34 games she played this season, she only made 39.1 percent of her field goals.
But just because she’s a poor scorer, it doesn’t mean that she isn’t a generational talent.
I say this because she makes up for her lack of efficient scoring by rebounding the heck out of the ball, like she fights for those boards.
Prior to announcing her season-ending wrist injury, which she says happened when she “fell on [her] hand when [she] got the and-1,” Reese led the WNBA in rebounds by averaging 13.1 per game.
She also held the single-season record for most rebounds with 446. She’s also had 3 or more games where she grabbed 20 or more boards.
Additionally, she holds the WNBA record for most consecutive double-doubles with 15.
Reese, who was an All-Star this season, is a phenomenal player and does what she does magnificently, and I hope she heals quickly and continues her reign of terror on the boards next season.
