Bryant Reeves is a folk hero.
I wasn’t necessarily a fan of Reeves (aka Big Country) but he was the first-ever pick of an expansion franchise in my first hometown and he always competed.
Despite having to play for a new, and frankly a bad team, Reeves continuously gave his squad all he got, night in, night out. He was always competitive regardless of the point differential (in the other team’s favour).
He played for one team his entire career and would’ve continued representing that uniform past 6 seasons if it weren’t for his bummed back.
