Samaki Walker was an NBA vet who played in the league for 10 seasons.
I first learned about this 6-9, 240-pound power forward when the Los Angeles Lakers signed him in the early 2000s.
Even though he was a role player on that team (he was there to help Shaquille O’Neal protect the rim and grab boards because Horace Grant left), I thought he was one of the best power forwards in the league because I was such a huge Lakers fan.
I always traded for him in NBA Live and tried to record crazy numbers with him (it rarely happened and it was really hard).
I tried to follow his career after he left the Lakers but it was difficult because he rarely got minutes on his new teams.
Regardless, he was a solid player and a player you may know.
