I became a fan of Tim Thomas because he was a tall small forward (6-10) who could shoot the 3-pointer.
This may sound unimpressive. But in the 2000s, this was a rare skill set and players like Thomas were rare.
And because players like him were scarce, I always tried to get him in 2k. I made him move up in position -mostly because I thought it was funny- and made him take advantage of the -mostly- immobile defence.
