Jamal Crawford was one of the most talented scorers in NBA history.
His moves were plentiful and his shot was a beauty.
As a result, he recorded a handful of 50-point games throughout his 20-year career.
But dropping 50 points isn’t as simple as you think. You don’t just go in and take a bunch of shots and somehow come out the end with 50. There’s a system to it.

Now, back to the story…
And on a recent episode of Podcast P, Crawford shared his system for scoring 50.
He told Paul George, who surprisingly hasn’t recorded a 50-point game yet, that he just has to follow a “scheme.”
“You can get 50 easy,” Crawford said. “There’s definitely a scheme to it too by the way. There’s definitely a system.”
George then asked Crawford for his scoring system and he replied:
“Well first off, you got to shoot 17 threes. You gonna be hot because you gonna shoot a lot. You’re gonna make 8 or 9 of them, so that takes you right there to 24 or 27. You’ll get 8 to 10 free throws because they’ll be fouling you. You got 37. You’ll get 4 [transition plays], you’re at 45. Come on bro, you’re already there.”
The takeaway from this story? Use systems.
If you want to be the top scorer in your next game, create a scoring system that matches your skills and style.
