LeBron Switching Back To No. 23 -Here’s His Nastiest Plays as 23
LeBron James wore 23 for most of his career and had some sick plays while donning it.
Looks like LeBron James is switching his No. back to 23.
He was wearing No. 6 the past two seasons, as he wanted to give 23 to his L.A. Lakers’ running mate, Anthony Davis.
But because of certain rules at Nike, that didn’t pan out.
LeBron continued to wear No. 6, however. I guess the hassle of switching back was too much for him, the league, and Nike.
But a few days ago, LeBron announced that he was switching back to No. 23 out of respect for and as a tribute to basketball legend Bill Russell, who passed away in July of last year.
The NBA also retired No. 6 league-wide after Russell’s death.
You may not remember, but No. 23 LeBron was a beast.
This was the number that LeBron wore as a young rookie, when he returned to Cleveland after ditching them for Miami in his prime, and when he debuted as a Laker.
He had some nasty plays rocking this jersey number and I want to use this opportunity to remind you of some of them via a photo essay, if you can even call this that.
