That One Time David Robinson Showed Out In His NBA Debut
The Admiral was not shaken by the legends he had to face.
Normally, players who compete in their first NBA game would be nervous.
And if they’re playing against superstars and legends -like for instance Magic Johnson and James Worthy- they would be spooked.
But that’s not the experience David Robinson had.
Robinson was drafted in 1987 with the first overall pick, but had to serve in the Navy for two years before he could join his team, the San Antonio Spurs.
The organization’s patience paid off though because Robinson was phenomenal.
