Erick Dampier was a Golden State Warriors and Dallas Mavericks legend.
In 1996, he was drafted by the Indiana Pacers with the tenth overall pick but was shipped away a year later to Golden State.
The Pacers had too many centers like him on their roster already and he didn’t fit what the team needed.
However, this trade was not a bad thing at all because it allowed Dampier to blossom.
