Here is a curation of all of the social media posts I posted this week (a combination of NBA trivia and facts) and some interesting quotes I’ve read.
Enjoy!
But before we get to the recap, here are the stories I published this week:
1.
The Charlotte Hornets stung the Chicago Bulls on April 8, 1996.
The Bulls were doing well -like, really well- at home and every team was having trouble with them in the Windy City.
But the Hornets came in aggressive and defeated the Bulls, breaking their record 44-game home win streak, which they’ve been racking up since the previous season.
And the part that hurts the most? Charlotte won by 1 point (98-97).
That loss must sting (sorry).
2.
The Chicago Bulls were the most dominant team in the 90s.
But once Jordan retired (the second time), they, well, were not dominant. They sucked, actually.
And on April 10, 1999, the Bulls hit their lowest of lows; they hit rock bottom.
In a game against the Miami Heat, they scored a record low 49 points.
They only had 2 players score in double figures. Kornel David led with 13 points and Toni Kukoc with 10.
The final score was 82-49.

Any guesses?
It’s Mitch Richmond.
4.
In the final games of the season, the Milwaukee Bucks’ Adrian Dantley needed a handful of points to move up on the NBA’s all-time scoring list.
So, on April 10, 1990, he did just that.
He scored 5 points in a game against the Boston Celtics. And those 5 points gave him a grand total of 23,152 points, good for 9th place.
That slot would eventually be taken over. He is currently 33rd on the All-Time Scoring list.
5.
On April 12, 2001, the NBA made it harder to defend the paint.
They instituted the defensive three seconds call, where, “Any defensive player, who is positioned in the 16-foot lane or the area extending 4 feet past the lane endline, must be actively guarding an opponent within three seconds.”
