Basketball Drill of the Week: Steve Nash Shooting Drill
Here's a shooting and conditioning drill Steve Nash did when he played for the Suns.
(Last week’s drill: Around the World)
Here’s a basketball drill that will kill two birds with one stone. You’ll work on your shooting and your cardio.
So, do you remember Steve Nash? He was a back-to-back MVP and one of the most skilled and well-conditioned players in the NBA.
And this drill I’m about to talk about was one of his favourites to do. And it should be because he was the one to create it.
Anywhoo, it’s called the Steve Nash Basketball Workout and it’s a pretty simple drill.
How to do The Steve Nash Shooting Drill
All you have to do is shoot around for 20 minutes without stopping for any breaks (or with minimal breaks).
The drill is most effective if you work on a variety of shots.
For example, you could do layups and floaters for 5 minutes, then mid-range shots for another 5, then 3-point shooting for another 5, and then off-dribble jump shots for the last 5 minutes.
You can mix it however you like to create a shooting drill that matches your game.
